The morning of September 26, 2011 at time 10:30, I personally phoned my friend who is a custom built Malay traditional coffin maker as I wanted to pay him a visit to his workshop which situated close to the Majidee Mosque about five kilometers away. He gave me a thumb's up and about 15 minutes later I was already at his front door. Replying to my 'Salam' he then welcomed me, and his name is Hj.Kamal Bin Harun and we were old time friends and he has undertakes most of my client's coffin ordering, and today in our early sixties and with only one common interest...the Islamic Funeral Undertaking.

In Malaysia, the custom built Malay traditional coffin making was handed down from generation to the next and today it is still popular in demand by Moslem customers. Coffin made from wood beam and plywood with cloth fitted at its base, and it is light and affordable.

There are five type of coffins known available in Malaysia:
- Custom built Malay traditional coffin.
- Factory built Malay traditional coffin(Knocked-down type).
- Malaysian Armed Forces Military coffin for all faith.
- Modern casket normally use by non Moslem.
- Chinese traditional log coffin(facing extinction).

Children size: RM150.00
Ordinary size: RM180.00
Over size: RM230.00
At 11:30am both of us politely excused ourselves and proceeded home for lunch, leaving behind us, a bond of lasting friendship.
