The Islamic Funeral Administration And Management Studies(Course Content).

The Islamic Undertaker has laid this course content as a basic guideline to all Islamic funeral undertakers, funeral administrators and directors as to achieve an ultimate standard and understanding in their practices as far as the Islamic funeral undertaking is concerned. However, the administration course may be taken separately from the management course(skill and practice). 

1.  Understanding the Process of Management
  • Planning
  • Organizing
  • Directing
  • Controlling

2.  The Hard Trying Time Scenario
  • Verifying the deceased hardship.
  • Understanding the hardship of his or her families.
  • The necessary steps for the best possible funeral solution.

3.  The Funeral Meeting
  • Who chaired the funeral meeting?
           a.  Head of the deceased family.
           b.  Mosque committee and the deceased family.
           c.  Entrusted funeral undertaker or directors.
  •  The conclusion of the funeral meeting.
           a.  A solely family centered?
           b.  Mosque committee centered? or from the
           c.  Islamic funeral undertaker or director centered.


4.  Local Adaptation
  • Familiarization with your local area of operation.
  • Who who's in your area.
  • Maintain good interpersonal relationship with your local funeral committee.
  • Funeral accountability.
  • Ask(doa) for your good self  "May my job be made easier from the blessing of Allah".

5.  Funeral Laws and Case-Study
  • Burial Laws.
  • Laws on HIV's death case.
  • Understanding case-studies.

6.  The Funeral Management(Skill and Practice)
  • The Body washing.
          a.  The body wash preparation.
          b.  Types of body washing.
       
  • The Shroud.
          a.  The shroud preparation.
          b.  Nature of shroud for men and women.

  • The Prayer.
          a.  The prayer's rule.
          b.  Types of funeral prayers.

  • The Burial.
          a.  Burial Permit.
          b.  Types of burial grounds.
          c.  The choice of grave pattern.
          d.  With or without coffin.



Note: 

It took me several years to understand and experienced on the Islamic funeral undertaking in Malaysia, and yet still perfecting the trade whenever possible. I have made things much easier for those who wish to study this subject based on Quran and Hadis and are most welcome to be my apprentice or just continue reading this blog. The School of Islamic Taught that we followed from the beginning to the end that from Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Idris al Shafii, born in Gaza, Palestine in 767M (150H) - died at Fustat, Egypt in 820M(204H). Known as `Mahzab Shafii ' and  today with the entering of modern applications and practices however preservation of the Quran and Hadis still be kept shining and unchanged.
